The yellowish colour on the lower neck/chest area signifies that the bird is breeding. Hopefully i'll be back to see the juvenile birds out with their mother.

This bird is probably a female as it was constantly in close proximity to (and being harassed by) a juvenile.

Ottawa - This species occurs on western Lake Ontario each fall in small numbers but is rare in Eastern Ontario. Most Sabine's seen in the south are juveniles. Adults are very rare. The dark gray head and yellow-tipped bill are distinct.

What I have tentatively identified as a juvenile Carrion Crow was resting on a horizontal monument in St Wilfrid Cemetery, Standish, Lancashire and in no great hurry to move so I could read the inscription.
