Bath - On the left is the 'Richardson's' subspecies as well as the Cackling Goose more typically seen. Richardson's is paler with a narrow white collar and stubbier bill.

St. Isidore - this individual is coming into breeding plumage. Darker wings and less buffy colour. Eventually it will be black and white only.

Algonquin Park - a very challenging species to both find and photograph. They are nothing like our familiar Black-caps. They are very secretive and are more often heard than seen. They are not fond of seeds but enjoy peanuts and suet.
