The lover mandible on this bird was deformed but it didn't seem to have trouble feeding.

Brian Morin: That deformity is due to avian keratin disorder. It can manifest to varying degrees, some extreme, but as you noted, this one is not significant. Good capture too.

Was not able to get decent photos of this species, but at least some key field marks showing. It seemed to behave differently than others and keep well-aawy most of the time. Frutty Tour lodge.
