St. Albert - Small flocks are still going through. At this particular location the sun had just come out and about two dozen birds, almost all juveniles, sat in the top branches of a bush. Worked for me!

Ingleside - It is not always easy to tell Greater from Lesser Yellowlegs if you do not have a direct size comparison. Call notes help and I did have those with this bird. Some Greaters have a slightly upturned bill towards the end but this bird does not. Bill length is a useful guide. In the Lesser, the bill from base to tip is about the same length as the width of the head. In the Greater it can be almost 50% longer than the width of the head.
