Erieau - part of a major flight that saw dozens of birds along the lower Great Lakes, especially Lake Erie. I had 35 one day while another group recorded 55 the next day in the same area. They blew in with a very strong westerly wind that lasted a few days. Hundreds ended up along the New England Coast. The last major flight was in 1998, under similar conditions.

Oakville - one of two birds present at a sewage treatment plant for several days after a major flight into southern Ontario along lakes Erie and Ontario late last week. Very difficult to shoot in flight and they seldom landed and never close by.

Ottawa - this bird eluded me the other day but I had luck today. Spent an hour 100 feet out in the river (these boots didn't leak) with tripod set up. Very cooperative.
