St. Rose - Beautiful bird. This is getting to be way too much fun.

St. Rose - This is a different look. You get to see its bill as well.

St. Rose - I am now concentrating on types of Snowy Owl shots that I don't have yet. I have seen about 55 different birds this winter and this ranks at the top of the list as the 'cleanest' adult male. Likely only about 2-3% of this year's migrants look like this.

Rockport - It might be an overwintering bird but in mid winter a Robin offers a pleasant reminder of what is to come in a couple of months.

Rockport - Very unusual. This bird was feeding on withered wild grapes. It wolfed quite a few down and was only about 10 feet away. Amazing sight.

St. Isidore - The significance of today's photo is not this particular bird, it is what it represents. On this very cold day in Eastern Ontario we had 32 Snowy Owls over a 6 hour period. This is a personal record and is incredible. If we could have been in multiple areas simultaneously at the peak time of 3-5 pm, adding areas we didn't even cover, we could easily have had double that number of owls.
