Brian Morin: At least you got a nice shot of the Harrier.
Chris: I had to be quick-the bird was hidden below the dyke and swept up overhead for a few seconds, then gone

While looking for the Cassin's Sparrow, I saw this bird which initially I wrote off as a Pectoral Sandpiper only to review the photos later and have Sharp-tailed suggested by Merlin. Boundary Bay, Delta, BC, 100 meters west of 96th Street.

Iroquois - This is a real shot, not a manipulated photo. An Osprey was heading to its nest while an eagle was doing the same. The two nests are only 100 metres apart. These species do not get along and the Osprey is usually the aggressor even though it is smaller. The eagle made a defensive move, doing a barrel roll as the Osprey passed overhead then continued the manoeuvre, uprighting itself. It was over in seconds. There was no interaction between the two but I caught a few frames of this one of a kind moment.

Ahmad Shah: Amazing capture with bald eagle upside down.
Chris: Truly incredible to see and capture that moment with an inverted eagle.
