They have a nest nearby on a rock face. The female is noticeably larger than the male and this particular female is larger than others I've seen so she's at least 1/3 larger.

Brian Morin: This bird has been very challenging to photograph, typical of Orchard Orioles I have worked with. They may appear in an exposed location but more often will be within branches under cover, singing away. They are fond of calling from evergreens, which offer excellent cover.

Brian Morin: And in decent light too. This female is active earlier than usual because she has a full house to feed, 6 full grown chicks that are still largely down covered but with wing feathers developing enough so they can move from tree to tree.
