Birding since the late 1980s...mid 40s birder. Being out in nature and hearing the morning chorus, seeing how birds interact with their surroundings and go about their lives provides me a greater understanding of the natural environment we live in. With bird photography, every photo is different, which makes seeing the same and different species exciting.

To our surprise a pair of Yellow-rumped Warblers has been visiting the yard. Here, already with insects in its beak and then waiting for the suet feeder to further stock up. Delta, BC

Evening trip to Cypress Mountain was a good idea - have not seen this species since 1988, which was the only other sighting (Grouse Mountain), and at the time known as the Blue Grouse.
