Chesterville - These are our first songbird migrants, a welcome sight after winter. Small flocks, pairs and singles are present in open fields and along roadsides.

Trois Rivieres - This bird has been around most of the season and was my 5th one this winter. These owls will be heading north in the next few weeks but it has been an enjoyable winter with them.

Ottawa - Winter Wren is not a new bird but this was my first in winter, as shown with this snow white background. In Southern Ontario a few stick around but further north they are rare in winter. I made four attempts to see this little guy over the last 6 weeks (not travelling specifically for it) and finally got lucky.

Ridgetown - A wintering site. Mild weather and no snow (at that point) meant that about 6-700 birds were still present.
