Pectoral Sandpiper with a Lesser Yellowlegs - Serpentine Fen, Surrey BC.

The Pectoral was a life list addition for me.

Boundary Bay, Delta BC
Another life list addition for a bird that is common here in the fall. All I had to do was walk on the foreshore at low tide and they were running all over the place. It was hard to get a good shot as it was noon on a sunny day.

Serpentine Fen, Surrey BC

A life list addition for me which is kind of silly as this location is five minutes from where I work and the snipe are there every fall.

Just as the sun was about to go below the horizon on the day Hurricane Sandy's remnants blew threw the area. Seen north of the Montreal Airport's runway 24R.

Along with an adult, this immature Peregrine Falcon was hunting near the Champlain Bridge at Montreal over the weekend. It was occasionally perched on the very highest point of the bridge, and then would take off going upwards until nearly impossible to see.

The Peregrine Falcon is a formidable hunting machine. It can reach over 300 km/h in pursuit of prey. I would not want to be a Pigeon or Duck in the area of the Champlain Bridge these days.
