Napier - A light drizzle was falling but since I was shooting from the car it didn't matter. It is always nice to see this uncommon grassland species.

Ottawa - A great treat to see this species within an hour from home. The bird was present for a few days, visible often at close range. One couple were sitting on a bench waiting for it to come to a feeder, only to find out the bird had been perched almost over their heads for 30 minutes. :)

Crysler - Today a significant flock showed up, with 75+ probing the shallow river.

Crysler - I returned to the area and discovered the bird still present. I remained at one spot in the river (only inches deep in this area so great for shorebirds, and for me) and waited for it to approach for some good shots.
