Birding since the late 1980s...mid 40s birder. Being out in nature and hearing the morning chorus, seeing how birds interact with their surroundings and go about their lives provides me a greater understanding of the natural environment we live in. With bird photography, every photo is different, which makes seeing the same and different species exciting.

We've been in lock down due to Covid, and plain survival mode in many ways. So it was a great surprise to see this former Western Flycatcher, now Pacific-slope Flycatcher land above the feeders. Delta, BC.

Bewick's Wren. The Covid situation has put a strain on everyone, with jobs teetering and activities curtailed like never before. Hopefully we can get back on track. 2020 will be remembered and we're trying to stay positive and healthy.

It's absolutely amazing how fast these birds hatched, fledged and now look like adult birds. The mother or father is on the right.

Black-capped Chickadees have emerged from the nest house and now 2 young birds are hanging around. They don't do much except wait for food from the parents...quite a cute sight.
