shot during a pitstop off the M6 Motorway near Creswell, Staffordshire. This lone goose is a bit unusual as according to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, they are usually only seen up until March in the spring migration before heading to breeding grounds in Scandanavia. (several breeding flocks have been recorded in this part of England)

This poor little fellow was staying near the lighthouse at Presquile Prov.Park,It seemed like there was lots of food for him but migration unlikely until some feathers would be replaced.
We saw him two days in a row.He was active and very vocal.
Hope he made it.
