South Lancaster - Glengarry Campground - It was belting out an incredibly loud call nonstop while we were there. That is how we found it.

Ingleside - I tried in vain all winter to track down these birds. Very few in our area but many to the north. I finally located a small flock in a crabapple tree. They were very cooperative and the light was excellent.

South Lancaster - Cooper Marsh. Finally. I went for the birds this morning and had the pair in the same area others had seen them. Light was bad (backlight) but the birds were close enough for a good shot. The main issue was all the grasses and bushes in the way. It took a couple of hours to make it work.

Cornwall - this is a 'green morph' bird. About 1 in 100 males have a colour difference due to a genetic variation. This results in a yellow-green tone with more yellow on the wings and reduced browns overall. Streaking is subdued. Very colourful.

Cornwall - The past two weeks have been a blast in Eastern and Central Ontario. Many feeders have 50, 100 even 300 Siskins. Best showing in over 30 years.
