St. Isidore - this dark morph bird was at a distance but close enough for a few shots.

St. Isidore - I found this bird today feeding along a roadside near a forest with a flock of "regular" Juncos. This "Oregon" type individual is a western subspecies which is rare in the east. I hadn't seen one for decades. This is an adult male.

Ingleside - This near adult bird flew low to check me out before continuing on its patrol of the St. Lawrence. It's giving me the old 'eagle eye.' The bird was very close. This image is not cropped.

Ingleside - Snow Buntings are everywhere this winter. Some of the flocks are huge, close to 1,000 birds but flocks of 100-300 are easy to find.
